I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel, which was touted as a beautiful seaside experience but turned out to be quite the opposite. It was more like a cheap, overhyped motel rather than a true ryokan. On the positive side, the sunrise views over Matsushima Bay were unforgettable, but the hotel’s overall aesthetics and cleanliness left much to be desired.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On the plus side, the rooms offer a stunning view of Matsushima Bay, which is truly unforgettable. However, the negative aspects overshadowed my overall impression, especially with cleanliness concerns and the lack of a genuine traditional atmosphere. It's certainly not worth the price I paid.
